ICC-SRCC Expands Certification Programs to Show Compliance with SRCC 400 Standard
The ICC/APSP 902/SRCC 400 standard was completed in 2017, setting minimum standards for solar swimming pool and spa heating systems. Brea, Calif. – The ICC-SRCC OG-400 Solar Pool & Spa Heating System Certification Program provides proof of compliance for solar water heating systems to the current ICC/APSP 902/SRCC 400 standard. Developed in conjunction with the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP), the ground-breaking standard ensures that systems meet minimum requirements for safety and durability. “ICC-SRCC is proud to offer the new OG-400 certification program for solar pool heaters,” said ICC-SRCC Vice President of Technical Services Shawn Martin. “Pool safety is of incredible importance, as shown by the commitment of ICC and APSP to the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code. We believe that products designed and installed in accordance with the ICC/APSP/SRCC standard will not only save energy, but enhance the safety of pools and spas.” Compliance with this standard will be required in several pool codes throughout the U.S. in the coming years, including the 2021 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC). Manufacturers should consider getting a head start by certifying their systems now. Learn more about the SRCC 400-2017 Standard here.
